Both worlds are beautiful, but if I was to say which is better I would say Luna Lakes. I think if you want a nice green land, then this really is a great world for you. It sorta gives a laid back feel. The fountain of youth is beautiful (you do have to place it upon downloading the world).

Luna lakes is more of a futuristic world. I esp. love the tree of prosperity. I think my Sim has never read a skill book, but
is skilled to the max. It seems that it borders on the realistic and the unrealistic view of the future.

Is Hidden Springs worth the money? Yes. Only if you plan to play that world at least three times. Besides, you can put the fountain of youth in other worlds. I also would wait for a sale.

Is Lunar Lakes worth the money ? Yes. Only if you plan to play that world at least three times. Besides, you can put the tree of prosperity.

So to sum it up, I think it really is up to you what world you pick.

As you may already know, "Clutter" is decorations that turns your Sim's house into a lived-in looking home. You can find a lot of clutter around the Internet if you know where to look. FreshPrince, although known for his cars, has posted a few pieces on his website, as well as Mod the Sims. Several other talented Sims 3 custom content artist have also made great Sims 3 clutter, such as lemon candy at MTS. Infusorian, is another great site for the clutter loving Simmer. Their website contains completely free custom content.

CORRUPT FILES/ BAD CC FILES

CORRUPT FILES OR BAD CC FILES (Bad Custom Content) For those Simmers that haven't heard, There's a lot of bad CC out there. For example, there is a corrupt file called "Girl Doll Dressed" or the "doll baby" file spreading it's way through the community. It was detected among items from the Sims 3 exchange (although, the're likely to be many other places that have this file).

One of the symptoms of this file include the game taking an usually long time to load. However, if you don't experience this particular symptom, you should still check your DCBackups folders for the TWO files listed below, and delete them.

(1) First... go to: My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/DCBackups

In there, SEARCH for these 2 files:

0IxI0I3I8a68fe04da61a6aa65f939d77fbc37.package
(the DOLL file that has been going around)

0IxI6IcId59455e4d12667fa7eb50bdda87cec.package
(a CAS "sniaikieidsskin" file)

The following is a list of all the known corrupt custom content found in the Sims 3 thus far:

(2) Next: Once you've cleaned out your DCBackups file, you may want to download the following tool that test all Sims3packs:

... and use it to check EVERY Sims3Pack installer file you have in your computer. The 2 corrupt .package files mentioned above (or others) could be hiding in any installer file you have, and it's essential that we all begin checking and cleaning them just as quickly as we can.

Also: I personally noticed that the living room set from Vitasims3 "Lynx Living Set" is corrupt, so you may want to also check everything downloaded from that website.

Does the new update have you confused on where to put the mods folder?

EA has included support for Custom Content, with the release of Ambitions. This means that if you have previously been using the older system, you must change your framework after patching your game to 1.12 or installing the expansion pack Ambitions.
Why the big change? Well,before the change, mods Simmers weren't able to use their custom content without changing the location of the mods folder, with each expansion pack or stuff pack release. Now that the mods folder is in Documents no one should ever have to move that folder. Hopefully, this should cause no more problems with custom content, but with EA I doubt it!

So the new location is: Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages. Wait! you are going to need to know more.

UPDATE: I came across a link to a Mod. The Mod is called the Super Computer and it will allow Pregnant Sims to go in CAS anytime, during the pregnancy. Although, I heard that the clothes have to be made for pregnancy, or you won't see the pregnancy bump. I have not installed this Mod in my game, therefore I can't speak on the safety of the Mod. I have been changing clothes the "old fashioned" way. It works fine for me. However, I wanted to mention it.

Lately, I been really into Sims 3 maternity wear. (I have a Sim that's been pregnant 5 times). The outfits are really ugly. I realized this before, but I never had a Sim spend the majority of her life in the ugly maternity clothes.

This fact caused a trip through to the web. I found a video on Youtube, that described how I could dress the maternity wear up with pretty patterns and also even included other tips that I used and would recommend to others. Although this was great, I wanted more.

I found a blog called Sims3maternity.blogspot.com blog to be very helpful since she has dozens of links to many websites that have Sims 3 maternity clothes. Some were even from websites I've downloaded before (I love the sundress from All-About-Style). Although there are a lot of links to a website numerous Simmers find questionable, I think her website is a great place to find information on maternity wear.

While I was trying to find the best places for custom hair. I found a website "Trinity2oo5’s CC Hair Blog ". She has put some links to download all kinds of hairstyles on her website. There are some links to personal accounts; and there are some from the " Garden of Eden", "XMSims", and a new website named"Evocative Sims". If you like to download a lot of different hairstyles for your Sim, this website is a great place to visit. Most links are from "Mod the Sims". I did download a hair from from The Garden of Eden. Sims3realestate.com has a variety of custom Sims 3 houses /Sims 3 real estate. They range from the beginner home, family home, and the mansion. The owner also has a few "room sets" available. These are recolors with EA furniture. By the way this website is completely free.

I've haven't downloaded anything from Parsimonious.org, in a while, but I have noticed that they have a great selection of houses and other lots. Those of you who are in the market for Sims 3 houses /Sims 3 real estate, may want to check these websites out. However, you can give building a house a try. It may not be as "nice" as one you can download, but it may give you the best sense of pride ever! Who knows, you may become so good that people will be wanting to download your Sims 3 houses /Sims 3 real estate one day.

I thought it was time to update my
little list of Christmas custom content. These items were created recently.

After a year EA now has a Christmas tree. They also have some other items available for free at the store.
Vitasims- have a Christmas set.
Simsdistrict- has a collection of paintings.
Simcontrol- Christmas items of all sort, can be found at Simcontrol.
Desdren-There is also a Christmas themed living room here

Also the ladies at Livingsims have a large collection of all types of Christmas themed items.

At Sapphiresims.com, there is a beautiful Sims 3 Christmas tree as well as many other decorative items for your Sims. Although you have to register for this website, it's worth it to get these items. I'm sure you will find something else you also like.

Have you already installed The Sims 3 World Adventures and took a look at France? If so, I'm sure you have asked yourself: "What happen to the Eiffel Tower?" If you are like some, you just assume that it's not there (another screenshot to sell the game). Some have the settings already set to see the tower in the background. However, the one thing everyone has in common with each other, is "no accessible" Eiffel tower. For those that want the tower to be accessible, here is a guide to extract the "decoration" from out of the background and into Champs Le Sims.

ModtheSims A.K.A. MTS, is a fan-based website. ModtheSims has a variety of custom content. They have a variety of content such as: patterns, houses, clothes, Sims, Sim accessories, furniture, cars and paintings. They have anything that you can think of and some things you never would have thought of.

Yes they also carry Mods (They ARE ModstheSims). Although, I don't use MODS in my game, I find some very interesting and a few have me wondering why didn't maxis think of this. Some players will tell you that they aren't able to play with these mods, and they bring no harm to the game. However, some tell you to never install them - just my two cents... it's up to the game owner. ModtheSims has completely free custom content, but you need to register to download. It is free to register a ModtheSims.

Now that Sims 3 is out, AllAboutStyle has made a variety of unique custom patterns and Sims 3 custom content. Download-able Sims and custom patterns seemed to have been AdelyneSims3 contribution to Sims 3, until recently. AdelyneSims 3 has decided to expand it's present collection, and make download-able custom clothing for Sims. Before the Sims 3 came on the scene, Parsimonious.org was known for free Clothes, furniture, houses/lots, walls, and floors. Parsimonious.org, since the Sims 3, has been better known for their downloadable patterns and houses. Oh!, I Almost forgot; recolors.

Although, Parsimonious.org does only recolors of furniture and clothes, Parsimonious.org uses it's own patterns-at least most of the time. However, Parsimonious.org has posted on the website that they would get back to the business of making downloadable clothes for the Sims 3-no word on custom furniture for the Sims 3. One can only assume that it's only a matter of time before Parsimonious.org will drop it's virtual hat into making Sims 3 furniture. Parsimonious.org carries free custom content.

Sims3Boutique.com has been around for a while now. The Sims3Boutique.com is an interesting Sims 3 custom content site that offers patterns, Sims, and download-able clothing for women. In the future the Sims3Boutique plans on expanding it's selection to lots aka Sim housing. I have seen a few accessories there also. After playing the Sims 3, most Simmers do see a great need for these.

Sims3Boutique is one of the only Sims 3 custom content sites, that is completely free, at least for now. A lot of Sims 3 custom content sites have changed recently. Although, the Sims 3 Boutique is not one of my favorite Sims 3 custom content sites to actually download from, it sure is a Sims 3 custom content site that I visit often. Again, at the time of this post, Sims3Boutique.com downloads are free.

Ibayasims3.com designs mainly clothes and patterns; but she also offers Sims, recolors of furniture, and lots. Ibayasims3 is in Spanish, so to download from her website, sometimes I Google her name and press translate. It's well worth the trouble, for me.
Ibayasims3 does seem to translate some things, but I still want my download website in ALL English sometimes. Lately, Ibayasims 3 has offered some clothing in a donation pack. Ibayasims3 still offers plenty of work for free, including the above. In my opinion if you never been to Ibayasims3.com, you may want to visit.

UPDATE: The website offers some free custom content, but as far as I seen it's more payed content than free. However, I still would recommend a visit.

SimsArtGallery is a new website. SimsArtGallery came on the scene shortly after the Sims 3 was announced. I first heard about SimsArtGallery through the Sims 3 forums. I took special note, as I became very interested in custom paintings while playing the Sims 2. Also the Sims 3 didn't provide much in the decor department. There are those that are brave enough to attempt building their own Sims 3 worlds/Sims 3 created worlds. There are those who are not as brave, or for whatever reason prefer to download Sims 3 worlds instead. Some just find themselves in the middle, they do want to build one or are working on one, but they download them too! Well...whatever the case, I've found Sims 3 worlds a little hard to find, and I figure some may feel the same, so I've gathered a few places to download some great Sims 3 worlds quickly.

SimTr -the website offers a beautiful one called Simtopia.

Lately, I been really into Sims 3 maternity clothes. (I have a Sim that's been pregnant 5 times). The outfits are really ugly. I realized this before, but I never had a Sim spend the
majority of her life in the ugly maternity clothes.

I already knew of at least one website that specialized in maternity clothing; but never visited the website. I download some maternity wear from this website. (BTW, loved the setup). I also downloaded Sims 3 maternity clothing from here. this will probably satisfy my needs for now.

At this website there was also a link to here. I found the link to the blog helpful; she has dozens of links to many websites that have Sims 3 maternity clothing. Some were even from websites I've downloaded before (I love the sundress from All-About-Style). Although there are a lot of links to a website numerous Simmers find questionable, I think her website is a great place to find information on maternity clothing.

I've seen various websites that offer recolors of furniture to download. That's great for some. Thinking about recolors for Sims 3, I went by one of my old favorites "Simcredible Designs". I wanted to see if they finally started making the gorgeous furniture they were making in the Sims 2. They weren't making furniture. Although, they were offering custom content such as object recolor aka furniture recolors, patterns, Sims, Building aka lots. Some of their patterns were great. I didn't have much time, over the weekend, to really look at all of them; however, I'm sure to visit when I have more time.

Although while browsing the internet; I found that "stylistsims" have finally fine-tuned their furniture. It's one of the only websites I know that are offering downloadable furniture for the Sims. The website also offers other custom content of interest.

FEATURES OF THE SIMS 3 AMBITIONS

Don't have Sims 3 Ambitions? Are you still wondering if the new Sims 3 expansion pack is for you, maybe reading this will help.

PROS: There are several great features in the game.

Features
* New town: Twinbrook

* Returning creature: Sim Bot (known as a Servo in previous games) A Sim Bot is created by Sims with a high Inventing skill with a opportunity. It is confirmed that, as well as Inventing Sim Bots, players can purchase them with 40,000 Lifetime Happiness points.

* New mode: Renovation Mode is a variation of Build and Buy Modes and used by the architect to remodel for clients.

* New Build mode abilities: modify the pitch of individual roof sections and add multistory columns.

New skills:

Sculpting: Sims can create sculptures out of ice, metal, clay and wood with another Sim posing for them. (Previously seen in The Sims: Bustin' Out)
Inventing: There seems to be a wide variety of inventions. Servos are back as Sim Bots, along with a time machine. Sims get scraps for inventions from junkyards, a new type of lot, or by blowing things up.
Tattooing: Players are taken to the tattoo editor where they can choose tattoos with up to five layers, modify their colors, change the size, modify the opacity, and select where to place it: upper, lower, or full back, neck, ankle, chest, stomach, wrist, shoulder, bicep, or forearm. (Previously seen in The Sims 2 for PS2). Tattooing is a hidden skill.

* Control Sim’s actions and interactions while they’re on the job. However, according to a member of The Sims 3 staff, Sims will be able to manage their careers to an extent while the player is not controlling them. "Every career has responsibilities and its own active jobs. Each active job will require [the player's] full attention, but there are still options that allow [the player's] Sim to progress and level up while not controlling them."

* On-the-job choices now change the town and affect other Sims as well. Players modify the town’s structure as an architect or set neighborhood fashions as a stylist.

* 7 new professions (not counting skill careers) :

Firefighter
Ghost hunter
Private investigator
Stylist
Education

Contrary to popular belief, Sculpting, Inventing and Tattooing are new skills, not new jobs.

* New lifetime wishes: Home Design Hotshot (Earn 100 top scores for jobs in the Architectural Design profession), Descendant of da Vinci (master painting, sculpting and inventing), Fashion Phenomenon (Reach level 10 in the Stylist profession), Firefighter Super Hero (Save 30 lives on the job), Paranormal Profiteer (Reach level 10 in the Ghost Hunter profession), Pervasive Private Eye (Solve 35 cases on the job), Monster Maker (Create 3 Monsters)

* New Lifetime rewards: Fireproof your home, Career cash booster, Artisan crafter (boosts value of invented/sculpted items)

* Earthquakes are set to appear in this game

* New objects: fire engine vehicle, personal fire extinguisher, detonation packs, tattoo chair,lockpicking kit,trampoline etc..

You can collect scrap from the junkyard, and broken objects for inventing.

* New upgrades

* New traits: Savvy Sculptor, Eccentric, Dramatic, Eco-Friendly, Perceptive, and Born Salesman/Saleswoman.

* Addition of the consignment shop as a place for Sims to sell their own items (collectibles, sculptures, etc.)

* Ability to register at City Hall to be self employed in a "Skill Career" for writers, fishermen, and gardeners.

* Overhauled real-estate system that lets the player purchase and upgrade any community lot building.

* New laundry system. It gives Sims a good moodlet. There are washers and dryers available including one dryer that has a special "surprise."

* Grant Rodiek has confirmed there will be death by meteor. Balls of fire falling from the sky were depicted in the second trailer, and an IGN screen shot later confirmed the feature as in-game.

* New vehicle type: Motorcycle

* New lots including the consignment shop, junkyard, bar, laundromat, and fire station

CONS: There are two programs that EA has included. Some sort of Ad software (it allows ads to be place in the game) and data logging (it suppose to gather data on your game play in order to improve the game). The Data logging feature can be turned off. Although, I have read that some Simmers are having problems with that. EA probably will fix this in a patch.

There are several minor bugs, but if you own one of the Sims 3 games you know to expect those.

Lately, I been really into maternity clothes. Some maternity clothes, however can be really ugly. Like most, I really don't like ugly maternity clothes. This caused me to take a trip through to the web. I found a video on Youtube, that described how I could dress the maternity clothes up with pretty patterns and also even included other tips that I used and would recommend to others. Although this was great, I wanted more.

I already knew of at least one of the maternity websites that specialized in maternity clothing; but never visited it. I got some maternity clothing from there. (BTW, loved the setup). I also got maternity clothes from another of these maternity websites. This will probably be enough for now.
